Why are there so many East Asian nationalists on Youtube?
Monday, May 31st, 2010Whenever I try to search a basic topic such as Korean history, why do I always find Chinese, Korean and Japanese nationalists arguing on them??
Literally, I see them on basically any video which is about Chinese, Korean or Japanese history. Aren’t these three countries the most culturally related?
I think they are, and I think they have a common history; but most people believe that their culture is distinct, and although influenced by the other cultures, they started out by themselves, and not from a common ancestor.
I’m Chinese, so I think that the Japanese and Korean peoples came from the same ancestor, but they have their own beliefs.
More than 700 million Indians are expected to go to the polls from Thursday to cast their votes for a new federal government.
MY BOOK:
On Tuesday, the Latvian capital, Riga, saw hundreds of former Nazi SS veterans parading in a controversial commemoration march. Despite widespread opposition and counter-rallies, almost two-thousand supporters took to the streets to honour those who died fighting on the German side during the Second World War. The rally was staged by the party For Fatherland and Freedom, which is also a member of the European Conservatives and Reformists group within the European Parliament. This, in turn, has triggered criticism towards the UK’s Conservative party, which has recently realigned with the ECR. To talk more about the new Tory position and what the situation may signal for Europe, we’re joined by the Labour MP, Denis McShane.
