Nationalism

Whenever I try to search a basic topic such as Korean history, why do I always find Chinese, Korean and Japanese nationalists arguing on them??

Literally, I see them on basically any video which is about Chinese, Korean or Japanese history. Aren’t these three countries the most culturally related?

I think they are, and I think they have a common history; but most people believe that their culture is distinct, and although influenced by the other cultures, they started out by themselves, and not from a common ancestor.

I’m Chinese, so I think that the Japanese and Korean peoples came from the same ancestor, but they have their own beliefs.

More than 700 million Indians are expected to go to the polls from Thursday to cast their votes for a new federal government.

The national elections will be staggered over a month.

The main battle will be between the Congress party-led government and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party.

The Hindu nationalist BJP is looking for a comeback, five years after being dislodged by its chief rival.

doing history and can’t find these answers in the book. help please?!

what polocies or actions enabled the Communists to defeat the Nationalists in their long civil war in China?

What circumstances prevented Mao’s Great Leap Forward from bringing economic preosperity to China?

1. Communism was viewed as a threat to democracy, and so the United States lent support to the Nationalist Party, of course thinking that they would be victorious.

2. The Nationalists were also engaged in a war with Japan at the time, so the army of Chiang Kai-Shek was severely weakened at the end of WWII, making it almost a clean sweep for the Communist Army. In addition, the peasants of China were fed up with how they were treated by elites, landlords, etc.

3. Beginning with steel production, the backyard furnaces that were required of the Chinese peasants produced tremendously low-grade steel, hardly worth anything. Agricultural production didn’t work out so well due to drought, and also the government rule to plant seeds even deeper than normal (if you plant seeds too deep, they won’t grow at all, the earth chokes them).

regarding the killing of the 2 soldiers and the PSNI officer?

with such strained relations between the police in Northern Ireland and the nationalist community due to the murder and torture of innocent catholics organised by RUC, the british army and loyalist terrorists

Q1, Do you think the catholic/nationalists trust the PSNI enough to pass on information if they had it?

Q2, Do you agree, that the way to end real IRA activity in NI is to win the trust of the nationalists?

to answer your first question the answer would be no,
to answer your second question the answer, the answer would be yes

Aren’t fundamentalist Christians the same guys who say Jews are God’s chosen people, and are among the strongest backers of Israel?

But at the same time, White Nationalists hate Jews?

How are those two things reconciled?

What did they think would benefit them by supporting the nationalists?

I’m guessing it was for strategic purposes… but can somone explain it to me?

It was partly out of the affinity, the natural sympathy between Nazis and Spanish Fascists, but partly to give German "volunteers" in Franco’s army battle experience.
